SCIENCE ON TAP

Science on Tap – Test Your Brain, Have a Beer!

Get ready for a fun evening of science,  drinks and good conversations!

Our Science on Tap Pub Evening brings together curious minds for a relaxed night inspired by the fascinating topics of the evening. Expect a fun mix of questions about space, astronomy, the origin of life, exoplanets and the search for extraterrestrial life – plus some surprising general knowledge along the way. The evening is part of the international Carl Sagan Month. Carl Sagan is best known for the TV series "Cosmos: A Personal Voyage" and the book for the movie "Contact".

Whether you're a science enthusiast, an astronomy nerd or simply here for the beer and the fun: everyone is welcome!

What to expect

Space & Astronomy: Discoveries beyond our planet, strange worlds and the mysteries of the universe.

The Origin of Life: How did life begin? What are the biggest puzzles scientists are still trying to solve?

Are We Alone? Exoplanets, extraterrestrial life and the big question: Where is everyone?

Great discussions!

Let us have exciting discussions with our speakers from the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy.

And don't worry if you're not a science expert – you don't need a PhD to ask questions and be part of the fun!
